The boards found in the control are:
- 214 027 0210
INTERPOLATOR
S/N 803408
- 214 021 07-2
PROCESSOR
No serial number visible
Note: EPROM label is 90/215 10132M, ©1981. An EPROM label found in the
bottom of the cabinet (not attached to anything) was /215 10091, ©1979;
this appears to possibly be from the original processor board.
The socketed 20-pin DIP IC on the board has a number label that reads 21510089.

This board contains MC1488 & MC1489 RS232 drivers connected to the round
plug on the right side of the control cabinet.

Axis drives:
- X axis:
214 072 01D
S/N 91505
- Y axis:
214 072 01D
S/N 838113
This board has heat damage on the solder side behind a diode, visible in the
photo. The damaged area appears to have been jumpered some time ago.
- Z axis:
214 072 01E2
S/N 21902
This board has arc damage on the soder side of the board behind the big electrolytic
cap. No components show obvious signs of damage, and the board appears to
be repairable as long as the components are intact.
Stepper motors:
- The motors are 8.7" long, of which 0.5" is the mounting flange
on the shaft end and 1.1" is the rear extension (not the cover; there's
a cylindrical extension the same diameter as the motor body that the cover
attaches to). They are 4.25" in diameter. Six wires feed each motor;
each motor has eight screws in it, two pairs of which are jumpered together (2 jumpers, total of 4 jumpered screws - I think this is a unipolar setup since each coil is
operated only in one direction).
- The spare motor I have reads:
HY200-4288-890 A8
Motore Passo - 200 passi/giro
MAE - Motori Apparecchiature Elettriche - Offenego (CR)
Made in Italy
4 fasi - 8,9 A/fase - 0,3 ohms (it actually uses a capital omega for ohms,
but that's difficult to insert on a Web page)
The mounting flange of the motor reads 34/80.
I've put the photos on a separate page because they're
somewhat large. The link here will get you to small images (831k worth of data) that you can probably view over a dialup connection, and clicking
on any of the photos will show that image at full resolution (about 3 megapixels, typically about 1.5 megs per image), so viewing these may work better on a broadband connection. Please note
that most browsers will scale the image to fit the screen, but you can generally turn off this feature under Tools/Options to see the photos at full size.
